Nano-­droners indflydelse på infanteridelingen

This study shows how nano-­drones would influence the Danish infantry platoon, in offensive operations and the reconnaissance. The development of nano-­drones provides the opportunity to implement UAS on platoon level. The absent of a Danish UAS doctrine, causes the author to find theory from allied partners. Therefore, the US FMI 3-­04.155 Unmanned aircraft system operations, has been chosen as the theory in this study.  A qualitative method is used to analyse the influence of the nano-­drone, and semi structured interviews have been collected. These interviews are used as empirical data for the analysis. The analysis consists of two comparative analyses. The nano-­drone has an influence on the platoon commanders decision-­making process. Furthermore, the nano-­drone can provide important information about the terrain and the adversary. However, the nano-  drone is not very resistant to weather and terrain. The nano-­drone can positively influence the infantry's reconnaissance in offensive activities and can provide important information on the battlefield, but it can not change the insertion methods of the infantry platoon, because of the weather resistance.
