Military researcher at the Institute for Military History and War Theory, Vice Director of the institute.

MA in History from the University of Copenhagen, 1997. Joined the Air Force in 1998, operational service mainly with Ground-Based Air Defense (GBAD). Passed General Staff Course in 2014. Has served in various staff and school positions.

Leads the Institute's Doctrine Development and Operational Art Course for the Master in Military Studies programme and teaches Middle Eastern History as part of the Defence College's Military Linguist programme.

Major Claudia Læssøe's PhD project to be finalized in 2019 is on the political and military challenges of urban warfare in the Israeli-Arab conflicts 1982-2014.
