Lars Cramer-Larsen, Major RDAF, Deputy Director and Military Analyst at Institute for Military Operations at the Royal Danish Defence College (RDDC)

Research/Study development & teaching interests: The Middle East - civil-War in Syria, Conflict studies, Law of Armed Conflict, Comprehensive Approach, Civil-Military Cooperation & Integration (CIMIC/CMI) i a NATO context, Civil-Military Relations (CMR) i the Middle East, Counterinsurgency/Counter Terrorism in Pakistan and multinational capability development projects and doctrines.

Dissemination: Lars Cramer-Larsen is a member of RDDC Mediagroup with the Middle East as main emphasis. He is often cited and speaks regularily as a military analyst and specialist in the Middle East to the Danish media about the civil-War in Syria. He regularily speaks at conferences, seminars and workshops about the conflict in Syria. Lars Cramer-Larsen is also a member of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MENA office networkgroup on Syria.

International experience: Lars Cramer-Larsen has previously been deployed to HQ Stabilization Forces - BiH (August 1998 - June 1999), serving at HQ AIRNORTH/Air Base Ramstein - Germany (July 2000 - July 2003), serving at Joint Force Command Naples - Italy (July 2007 - July 2009), deployed to US Central Command/McDill Air Force Base Tampa/FL - USA (September 2011 - February 2012), and serving at Civil-Military Cooperation Centre of Excellence Den Haag - The Netherlands (January 2015 - January 2017).

International cooperation and research projects: Lars Cramer-Larsen has in the period 2009-15 been Danish Delegate to NATO Allied Joint Operational Doctrine (AJOD) Working Group, member of NATO AJOD Capstone/Keystone Combined Custodial Review Group (2010-11) & (2013-14), projectmember Multinational Capability Development Concept - Combined Operations Fires (2013-14) & member of RDDC-Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS)-Pakistan National Defence Univeristy combined researchproject on COIN/Counter Terrorism in Pakistan (2013-14). Lars Cramer-Larsen is Danish Delegate to Civil-Military Centre of Excellence Coordinating Committee (2017 -)

National cooperation studies and development projects: Lars Cramer-Larsen is member of working group "Krisestyring i Forsvaret", and SME to DEMA working group "Retningslinjer for Krisesyring". Lars Cramer-Larsen is former Danish NATO Doctrine Coordinator and member of sub-working group 2; sovereignty and military defence to the steering committee regarding enhancement of Danish DoD tasks in the Artic (AGFOA) (2013-14)
