Iran's Foreign Policy towards Afghanistan

Research output: RDDC PublicationsCommissionedpeer-review

This policy brief examines Iran’s foreign policy
towards Afghanistan by examining how the strategy
has evolved since the revolution in 1979. By outlining
key drivers of the strategy, a set of parametres on
how Iran has fulfilled its policy objectives emerges,
leading to a conclusion on how it is possible for the
West to direct its foreign policy towards Afghanistan
in a manner that promotes regional initiatives of
stabilization.
